Hi, I’m Lauren, wife to Nick, mama to Carson, PR professional, group exercise instructor and runner!
Running on Faith was born during our infertility struggle. Over the course of many runs, I realized some of the best things in our lives were unplanned and required a giant leap of faith. Two things I swore I would never do: be a stay at home mom and move back to my hometown. After a few fast paced (and expensive) years in Washington, DC, we returned to my Southern roots and moved back to East Tennessee. I used to spend my days in a suit and heels as a PR professional, but these days I only report to an office part-time and spend my time at home with Carson. Turns out, both were fantastic decisions. As we try to grow our family, I hope we can “run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” (Hebrews 12:1).
I love all things British and Kate Middleton, to make baked treats for no reason, getting lost in a great book, and aimlessly wondering in Target. I’m openly obsessed with my furry children, love my husband’s sense of humor, sing Rocky Top during football season and think Costa Rica is the best place on earth. I have an endless appetite for ice cream and chocolate, so it’s a good thing I love a sweaty workout. And as I tell my husband, everything in life can be related to a quote from Friends.
