We celebrated Parker and Campbell turning ONE with an elf party-even featuring an appearance from Santa! We have connections with the big guy and he showed up to wish them a happy birthday. All of the older kids started screaming when they spotted Santa walking up the driveway.
These next two photos were snapped when everyone was singing Happy Birthday and it perfectly captures their personalities. Parker was not sure about the attention and tried to hide. Campbell wasn’t fazed, although he did give the stink eye a few times. Same thing when they were sitting with Santa. Campbell was fascinated and kept looking at him while Parker was hiding his face and leaning away.
I would love to claim responsibility for this masterpiece, but after a disastrous attempt on Carson’s second birthday cake, I just leave it to the professionals.
We told Santa we did not want any more babies for Christmas-our stockings are FULL!
Josie is Nick’s goddaugther and she loves holding the babies. She can’t wait to be old enough to babysit.
I always love celebrating birthdays, but it was an extra special day celebrating Parker and Campbell. After all the highs and lows that led us to them, watching their smiling faces and seeing how many people love them just shows God’s plan was in place all along. Their first year was quite the adventure (one we weren’t sure we would always survive!), but they are growing into sweet, funny, mischievous and loving little boys. Their first year absolutely flew by. It’s such a cliche, but I feel like they should still be the tiny little nuggets we brought home from the hospital. I can’t wait to see how they change and grow this year!
Happy Birthday, little elves!
