Parker and Campbell are officially in the double digits-TEN months old! They are changing so much right now that I can’t keep up with it. They are learning new sounds, words and trying foods. And their little personalities continue to shine (and also give me grey hair at times).
Let’s talk about Parker man! P, we weren’t sure you were going to crawl, but you actually did in on the exact day you turned ten months. It’s a very slow army crawl and looks like a lot of effort. But I’m sure you will be cruising around in a few weeks. You will lay on your belly and kick your arms and legs like you are swimming in place. If effort could make you move, you would propel right to your target.
Let’s take about your naps-or lack of. You will give us a two hour nap on occasion, but you really just take two short naps each day. And sometimes this catches up with you and you fall asleep on the spot, like in the jumper. And of course you love sleeping on us. We’ve had some good naps on the couch together.
Twin talk! You two are so engaged at times and just laugh, squeal and “talk” to each other. I always try to sneak and video it, but one of you will catch me and then you both stop. You also like to bug each other by snatching toys and giving pokes.
You are our little observer and take in everything that’s going on around you. When Daddy and Carson start wrestling, you add to the chaos with lots of squeals and shrieks. I feel like our neighbors probably think we have a dying cat inside the house.
You DO NOT LIKE when Campbell bulldozes right over you when he’s on a mission. I have a feeling you are going to pay him back now that you are starting to crawl. You already deliver some swift kicks when you can sneak them in.
Carson fell asleep on the couch and you were giving your best effort to help us wake him up. I’m sure it won’t be the last time you bug your big brother.
Y’all love when we are on the floor playing and we become your human jungle gym. Carson actually took this photo when we were playing one afternoon. It’s a big pile of boys on me, but the giggles are totally worth it.
I keep saying you are going to be a big reader like Mommy because you will “look” at a book or magazine forever! This one did end up in shreds, but hopefully you caught up on your ADPi news.
Both of you LOVE when Gigi walks through the door. She has mastered the art of feeding multiple babies.
You will sit and tinker with a toy for 45 minutes or more. You love to make things move and turn, but WOW do you get mad if we take something away from you. Your entire body tenses up and you start wailing.
All about our Cambo! You are our busy little beaver. We have to keep you contained if we aren’t right beside you because you are a curious little thing. If you are escaping our presence, you start crawling faster and laughing when we come to scoop you up. Everything you can find goes straight to your mouth, so I feel like I am picking up the floor constantly. I guess I should thank you for having a clean floor with this many kids!
Carson loves to come in your room when you wake up from a nap. He beat me on this day and you were wearing Annsley’s bows when I came in. But hey, you were already sleeping on her sheets, so it worked!
You’ve added four upper teeth this month! It makes Daddy cringe because you grind them together. It isn’t a pleasant sound. We are starting to introduce table food, but the first time you had a Puff, you choked and threw up, so we have held off (it scares Mommy).
We are always saying you are the happiest baby in existence and it continues to be true. You have the cheesiest little smile that flashes your dimples and the biggest chuckle. Your eyes are an exact copy of Mama W and you look so much like her. I often wonder if your personality comes from her too.
You are saying DaDa, Gigi, Mama and just added ba ba, which seems to be brother when looking at Carson.
You are fascinated by Roxie! She is always dodging you and moving from spot to spot. However, she loves to come visit when you are eating to lick baby food off. You think it’s hilarious and just cackle. Parker isn’t so sure about it and gives her the icy stare.
Happy ten months boys!
