Our little nuggets are seven months old! Although little might be a stretch because they have chunked up quite nicely! This is my favorite baby stage because their little personalities are really emerging and their smiles just light up the room. We did a quick photo session to capture them at seven months and it marked their true personalities! Campbell wanted to eat the card and Parker was unhappy until Daddy held him for a minute. That’s exactly how they are! We don’t think they look alike at all now, but most people still ask who is who.
This just makes me think of Campbell’s high school photo because it looks like a senior photo pose!
Parker wasn’t happy and and then Daddy snuggled him for a minute and everything turned around!
Campbell just wants to eat anything he can get his hands on, cardboard included.
Parker was happy and back to smiling after a few minutes with Daddy. That’s his happy place!
It’s funny how many differences have emerged this past month. We can really see two distinct personalities between the boys.
Parker man, you are our sweet little cuddle bug and love to snuggle. Between the two of you, we are guessing that you will be the calm one. You can roll over to your stomach and have, but most of the time you are just content to chill on your back. We tell you that you’re lazy! You love hanging out in the chair and playing with the toys hanging down and now like the bouncer (not at first). However, no matter what you are doing, you will let us know after some alone time that you are ready to be picked up. I always say your happy place is sitting with Daddy on the couch. You would sit there for hours!
You have definitely found your voice and like to use it LOUDLY! It’s a very shrill noise and it’s on repeat throughout the day. It’s funny because you will just squeal over and over while playing. You are ready for bed at 8 and melt down if you are up much longer. You are sleeping all night and wake up between 6-7 am. Your naps are a little inconsistent-sometimes we get a great two hour nap and sometimes you just cat nap. Now, if you are sleeping on one of us, that’s a different story! We can just lay you in the crib at bedtime and you will go right to sleep. You sleep on your back with your arm tucked behind your head. You also do a “bed stomp” as we call it: you lift your feet up as high as you can and hit the bed over and over. You will wake up in the morning and roll around and chat until we come in and get the sweetest smile. Your smile lights up your entire face and I love how it’s a big gummy grin with no teeth. You weren’t so sure about baby food when we first started, but now you are a fan. However, you are completely opposite from Mommy and eat all veggies but gag at some fruit. You love bananas, but anything with apples and you make the worst face. You will eat them mixed though! When you feel something at your feet, you immediately start kicking. A lot of times this turns out to be Campbell’s head when you are on a blanket together. I can see the start of many arguments and tears about who kicked who!
Both boys absolutely love Carson and think he’s hilarious. I was getting ready for work one morning and saw Parker and Carson holding hands. We catch them all like this constantly and it’s the sweetest thing. I’m sure there will be more fights than hugging when they are older, but for now, they all love to sit together.
Campbell, you have passed big brother in size and it’s because you LOVE to eat! We can’t feed baby food to you fast enough and you normally suck down your bottles. You also put anything in your mouth that you can find, including Parker’s knees or hands! When we lay you anywhere, you immediately flip on your stomach and look around. You are our little cheese ball and will grin the instant we look at you. You laugh so easily; Daddy had you cackling the other night and you were throwing your head back you were laughing so hard. However, there are times when you give us the most serious look and we can’t make you laugh at all. You started saying Da Da this month and we all think it sounds like you are saying Gigi sometimes too!
I had to take you to the doctor this month and we had a few hours with just the two of us. We ran some errands and you were just charming all the ladies in Hobby Lobby. You had so many people stop and talk to you and you would just flash the biggest smile!
You aren’t crawling yet, but you are still everywhere. You rock back and forth and scoot backwards and roll around the floor. We have to keep the floor picked up because you grab anything you can get your hands on.
You have the longest eyelashes I’ve ever seen! You have loved the bouncer since the first time you were in it and go nuts in there. You love grabbing hair and faces and lean in for a big slobbery kiss. I think you may be the wild one between the two of you. You are just like Mama, Daddy and big brother and can sleep, sleep, sleep! We thank you for that. You sleep all night and take a long nap and another short one. You aren’t great at laying down and going to sleep on your own though…you like to cuddle and have us pat your booty.
A few things to note from this month:
You celebrated your first Fourth of July!
You both sat up in a high chair at a restaurant for the first time (Mellow Mushroom).
You are eating different veggies and fruits.
You are both in size 4 diapers. Campbell is wearing 9 and 12 months clothes and Parker is in 6 and 9 months.
Happy 7 months, P & C!
